different from other programs?
ROOOAR! “I am women hear me ROOOAR” Female specific training take into account the physiological differences between women and men. From our bone structures to hormonal and physiological changes that affect out muscles and joints different time of the month. Our Functional Fitness programs are designed for women, by women with a women’s body in mind. Not everyone needs to clean snatch 200lbs and lift it overhead. In fact most people don’t need to nor desire the type of fitness meant for Olympic athletes. However, we all need functional fitness for everyday life. That by no means call for “sissy girly” training. Nor does it mean we train with the philosophy that women are weak or can’t lift heavy. “ROOAR” is not an acronym it’s the sound we make when we push our strength and endurance out our comfort zone to the next level. We push, pull, lift, lower, squat, jump and run with the best of them.
What the?!@%^*!:We like being confused. The more confused our muscles are the more fat our bodies burn to figure things out. So not only do we change the exercises and fitness routines EVERY workout, but we also use many different methods of training including body weight exercises, bosu, TRX trainer, sandbags and kettle bells. In addition we use some methods that are not normally considered feminine, including truck tires, football drills, ropes, hammers and more.
More Bang for your Buck: Multi-Muscle Movements and multi-plane exercises. That means working in all 3 planes of motion (i.e.: moving your body in every direction). Our everyday activity causes us to move in every direction humanly possible so our fitness training simulates life by having you perform exercises in every movement direction.
Our Training Philosophy:
Our program philosophy is to create every workout using multi-muscle movements and multi-plane exercises that improve 7 levels of fitness including endurance, strength, flexibility, speed, agility, balance, and coordination.
- Endurance: (Work and Play harder and longer) The benefit is not just in what you do but how long you can keep doing that get’s the best results. This applies to fitness and too life. Our program challenge and improve both your cardio and muscle endurance allowing you to enjoy more of your life.
- Strength: (Because “strong is the new sexy”) We know that building muscles does more than just to give us toned arms, lean sexy legs and flat abs. Muscle increase our metabolism, our physical strength and turns our body into a fat burning machine. Functionally the more muscle we have, the easier it is to move which reduces fatigue and allows us to enjoy our everyday activities more.
- Flexibility: (Reach for stars) Because soreness and certainly injury are two of the worse side effects of fitness and improving flexibility is the best way to avoid them, flexibility training is a key component to any well rounded fitness program. It’s not just about touching your toes but also the ability to reach for stars.
- Speed and Agility: (Ready for whatever life throws at you) Because life doesn’t stay on cruise control we need the ability to have fast reactions, short burst of speed and sudden changes of pace and/or direction. Speed and Agility is essential to be ready for whatever life throws at you. Everyday life examples include rushing to get somewhere. Reacting to slipping on an unstable surface. Stopping or changing direction quickly to avoid bumping into something or someone, and for the times when come cross the occasional spider
- Balance and Coordination: (Because the earth is round not flat) this type of training increases your level of freedom with your body and decreases your risk of injury. You have a heightened awareness of where everything is at all times. You are able to easily bend over, balancing on one leg, to lift a light box and put it on a shelf. You are able to easily navigate steps, run through the hillside terrain, and you are ready for whatever life throws at you.
